Amidst fears of an imminent Iranian attack, Israel is bolstering its offensive and defensive capabilities. The Times of Israel, citing Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, reported that the Israeli military is actively improving its readiness in anticipation of an attack by Iran and its proxies in the region.

Gallant, who has been coordinating with US Central Command chief Gen. Michael Kurilla and US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, emphasized the importance of collaboration in preparing for a potential Iranian attack. He stressed that the US has expressed a strong desire to help, highlighting the crucial role of US-Israeli cooperation.
Gallant also held a “significant discussion” with his German counterpart, Boris Pistorius, over the phone, focusing on the escalating tensions with Iran and its proxy groups.
Gallant expressed his appreciation for Germany’s support of Israel in a post on X:
“The free world must come together against the biggest destabilizer and exporter of terrorism — Iran”
The alleged Iranian threat follows the assassination of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran last week. Haniyeh was in Tehran to attend the inauguration of Iran’s new president.
Hamas blamed Israel and the United States for Haniyeh’s death and vowed retaliation.
