Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. to Address Nation on Presidential Campaign Path Forward

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is scheduled to address the nation on Friday from Phoenix regarding his future in the presidential race, Fox News reports.

The announcement came from Kennedy’s press secretary, Stefanie Spear, who posted on social media, promising insights on “the present historic moment and his path forward.”

This news comes shortly after Kennedy’s running mate, Nicole Shanahan, criticized the Democratic Party on Tuesday. She expressed her “full support” for a potential role for Kennedy in a future Trump administration and hinted that they might consider suspending their campaign to endorse former President Donald Trump, who is set to hold a rally on the same day in nearby Glendale, only about 20 minutes from Phoenix.

Reports from ABC News suggested uncertainty around whether Kennedy was preparing to drop out of the presidential race. While a decision might be forthcoming, it has not yet been finalized and could evolve, the sources say. One insider mentioned that Kennedy aims to decide promptly to mitigate any momentum gained during the Democratic National Convention.

Over the past year, Kennedy’s polling figures have significantly declined. Initially polling in double digits, the latest Fox News national poll shows him at just 6%, trailing behind Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, who are both tied at 45%.
