Brightline West, the company behind the proposed electric high-speed rail system connecting Southern California and Las Vegas, has revealed new renderings showcasing the interior of its trains, KTLA5 reports.

The company shared images on social media on Monday, providing a glimpse into the futuristic design of its multimillion-dollar train sets, which are expected to be operational by 2028.

Among the highlights was the rendering of a “party car,” designed with plush seating, a sleek modern bar, and vibrant fuchsia interiors. The space exudes a luxurious Las Vegas vibe, with Brightline promoting it as “the perfect space to kick back, pop some champagne, and enjoy the ride from Vegas to California in style.”

The renderings have received praise from transit enthusiasts, with some noting the superior experience compared to air travel between Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

“Being able to travel at 180 mph in a luxurious bar car is honestly so much better than anything any airline on this route offers,” commented transit advocate Hayden Clarkin.

Alongside the release of these images, Brightline celebrated a significant development in the project. US Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced that Siemens, the German manufacturer chosen to produce the train sets, will build a new high-speed train manufacturing plant in Horseheads, New York. This facility will produce the American Pioneer 220 trains, capable of reaching speeds of up to 220 mph. Production is set to begin in 2026, with the plant creating hundreds of union jobs.

Marc Buncher, CEO of Siemens Mobility North America, emphasized that the initiative is moving high-speed rail in the US from dream to reality. Siemens, with a long history of building trains in America, is also competing for the contract to supply trains for California’s high-speed rail project.

Brightline’s high-speed rail system, once complete, is poised to revolutionize travel between Southern California and Las Vegas, offering a fast, comfortable, and environmentally friendly alternative to current transportation options.
