American rock band Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has announced the birth of a new daughter, sharing that the baby was born “outside of my marriage” to his wife, Jordyn Blum, CNN reports.

“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her,” Grohl said in a statement.

He continued, expressing his commitment to his family.

“I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”

Grohl and Blum have been married since 2003 and share three daughters: Violet (18), Harper (15), and Ophelia (10). While Grohl confirmed the new baby’s arrival, he did not reveal any details about the child’s mother.

The rock legend and his family have generally maintained a private life, occasionally making public appearances together. They were recently spotted at Wimbledon in July during the European leg of the Foo Fighters’ tour.
