Trump Rules Out Another Presidential Run If He Loses in November

Former President Donald Trump has said he will not run for president again if he loses the upcoming November 5 election, Al Jazeera reports.

In an interview with the news program Full Measure, the 78-year-old Republican was asked if he envisioned another campaign in 2028 should he be defeated by Democratic challenger Kamala Harris. Trump responded definitively.

“No I don’t. I think that will be – that will be it. I don’t see that at all.”

Trump, who currently faces criminal charges related to the 2020 election results, expressed hope for a successful outcome in November.

Current polls indicate a close race in key battleground states, with both Trump and Harris vying for a victory.

Trump has repeatedly declined to commit to unconditionally accepting the outcome of the upcoming election, raising concerns about potential unrest if he were to lose. Should he seek the presidency again in 2028, he would be 82 years old.
