Wyoming Game and Fish to Host Educational Event at UW Football Game

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will be celebrating hunting and fishing at the University of Wyoming football game against Utah State on October 26, Oil City News reports.

The event will take place at the Pepsi Pregame Zone inside the Indoor Practice Facility from 3 to 5 p.m., ahead of kickoff.

The department’s goal is to engage the public, particularly young people, in learning about Wyoming’s wildlife and outdoor heritage.

“This event gives Wyoming youth the opportunity to learn about the state’s wildlife with those who dedicate their lives to conservation and serving the public,” said Game and Fish Director Angi Bruce.

She emphasized that enjoying and protecting Wyoming’s wildlife is a key part of the state’s identity, improving health and well-being.

Kids will have the chance to participate in hands-on activities that enhance their hunting and fishing skills. These activities include learning how to safely use an air rifle, navigating a hunter safety trail, and identifying wildlife. Attendees can also engage with biologists and game wardens to discuss important topics such as chronic wasting disease, hunter safety, and preventing the spread of aquatic invasive species.
