Amidst a storm of legal troubles, Sean “Diddy” Combs is receiving public support from his children, CNN reports.
Quincy Brown (33), Justin (30), Christian (26), Chance (18), and twin daughters Jessie and D’Lila (17) all took to social media to express their unwavering support for their father.
In a joint statement accompanying a family photo, the Combs children addressed the recent wave of lawsuits filed against their father, including two alleging drugging and assault of minors.
“The past month has devastated our family. Many have judged both him and us based on accusations, conspiracy theories, and false narratives that have spiraled into absurdity on social media,” they wrote. “We stand united, supporting you every step of the way. We hold onto the truth, knowing it will prevail, and nothing will break the strength of our family. WE MISS YOU & LOVE YOU DAD.”
This public display of support comes as Combs faces mounting legal challenges, including a federal indictment in the Southern District of New York on charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
The allegations against Combs began to snowball in November 2023 when his former girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura, filed a lawsuit detailing disturbing claims of abuse. While Combs denied the allegations and settled the suit with Ventura, the details of the settlement remain undisclosed.
In May, CNN published a 2016 surveillance video that appeared to corroborate Ventura’s claims, showing Combs physically abusing her in a Los Angeles hotel. Combs later publicly apologized, acknowledging his actions and seeking professional help.
The latest show of support from Combs’ children is a testament to their strong family bond. This is not the first time they have publicly defended their father. In September, they released a statement condemning a book attributed to their late mother, Kim Porter, claiming the book was not authored by her.
Porter, who passed away in 2018, was the mother of Quincy Brown, Christian Combs, and the twin daughters. She and Combs had a long, on-again, off-again relationship, sharing three children.
