In honor of Veterans Day 2024, Wyoming State Parks is waiving entrance fees for all veterans and active duty military personnel at its state parks and historic sites, County 10 reports.

This free admission program will be available to military members who show proof of veteran or active duty status, a gesture Wyoming State Parks hopes will express gratitude for their service.

Previously, Wyoming State Parks provided free entry on Veterans Day and Flag Day for veterans only. This year, however, the offer has been extended to include active duty military personnel, a change that will remain in effect on both holidays for 2024, 2025, and 2026.

“Wyo Parks has a strong appreciation for the heroes of our armed forces… This change of including active duty military in the free days is just another way we can say thank you,” said Stephanie Dillmon, Concessions & Revenue Manager for Wyoming State Parks.

While the free admission applies to entrance fees, it does not cover other costs, such as reservations. For additional details, Wyoming State Parks can be reached at 307-777-6323.
