Wyoming Young Farmers and Ranchers Support Local Agriculture, Volunteer at Food Bank

As part of the Wyoming Farm Bureau Federation’s (WyFBF) 109th annual meeting in Casper, members of the Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee spent time volunteering at the Food Bank of Wyoming, Wyoming News Now reports.

The committee, which aims to support young agriculturalists in advocating for their industry and engaging in local communities, took the opportunity to pack boxes of food for Wyoming families in need.

“It feels good, knowing that your time is going towards something that directly benefits someone else,” said Hannah Guild, a Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee member.

Guild expressed that the group’s work at the food bank not only serves others but also reinforces their shared commitment to supporting local communities.

The WyFBF is a volunteer organization made up of farmers, ranchers, and individuals who are passionate about advancing agriculture. With agriculture being a major part of Wyoming’s economy and land use, the group emphasizes both community service and agricultural education as central to its mission.

“It’s been great to see people come together, all working towards a stronger agricultural community,” Guild added.

She highlighted the collaborative nature of the Farm Bureau’s efforts.

Brett Moline, WyFBF’s Director of Government and Public Affairs, emphasized the importance of agriculture as a unifying element.

“Agriculture is the one thing we all have in common. Regardless of our backgrounds or political beliefs, we all eat,” he said.

Moline stressed the universal impact of the work done by the agricultural sector.
