A 28-year-old Wyoming motorist died in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 in Uinta County on Monday after being ejected from her car, authorities said.

According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Destany Rose was driving eastbound on I-80 when her vehicle began drifting off the road’s right side. Rose reportedly overcorrected to the left, causing the car to cross into the opposing lanes and skid counterclockwise.

The vehicle veered off the roadway, descended a steep embankment, and rolled over twice. During the crash, Rose was ejected from the car.

The Highway Patrol did not immediately confirm whether seat belt use or other factors contributed to the fatal outcome. The crash remains under investigation.
