A single-vehicle rollover crash on Dec. 18 in Platte County resulted in the death of 27-year-old Wyoming resident Donovan Main.

According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Main was driving east on Laramie River Road when he lost control of his vehicle after cresting a rise in the gravel road. The vehicle entered a driver’s-side slide, veered into a roadside ditch, and rolled approximately 1.5 times before coming to a stop.

Preliminary reports indicate that speed and driver inattention may have contributed to the accident.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol continues to remind drivers to exercise caution on gravel roads, especially in rural areas where changes in terrain and speed can lead to loss of vehicle control. The incident remains under investigation.
