Green River High School distance runner Jordan Andrew has committed to furthering his athletic career at Central Wyoming College in Riverton, Wyopreps.com reports.

Andrew’s steady improvement over his high school years has positioned him to compete at the junior college level in Region IX.

Andrew’s journey as a cross-country athlete showcases his dedication and growth. Starting with a 102nd-place finish at the 3A State Cross Country Meet as a sophomore, he climbed to 65th place at the 4A State Cross Country Meet as a senior. Over the years, he shaved nearly two minutes off his state meet times, underscoring his focus on continuous improvement.

In addition to cross country, Andrew also competes for the Green River Wolves’ track team. At the 2024 State Indoor Meet, he ran in both the 1600-meter and 3200-meter events, finishing 37th and 27th, respectively.

Central Wyoming College, part of the junior college athletic ranks, offers a competitive platform for Andrew to develop further as a distance runner. His progress and commitment to the sport make him a promising addition to the Riverton-based program.
