Wyoming High School Indoor Track Season Kicks Off: Jan. 18, 2025 Schedule and Details

The 2025 Wyoming high school indoor track season officially begins this weekend, marking the final winter sport to debut this year, WyoPreps.com reports.

Teams across the state will compete in three events: two in-state meets and one out-of-state competition. The season runs for a brief eight weeks, culminating in the state championships held in Gillette from March 6-8, 2025, at the Campbell County Recreation Center Fieldhouse.

Here’s a breakdown of the first weekend’s schedule:

Saturday, Jan. 18

Bronc-Bison Rust Buster Invitational

  • Location: Campbell County Recreation Center Fieldhouse, Gillette
  • Hosted by: Sheridan & Buffalo
  • Start Times:
    • Field Events: 10 a.m.
    • Track Events: 10:30 a.m.
  • Teams Attending: Big Horn, Buffalo, Campbell County, Cody, Douglas, Powell, Sheridan, Thunder Basin, Tongue River, Worland

Natrona Invite

  • Location: Natrona County High School MAC, Casper
  • Start Times:
    • Field Events: 9 a.m.
    • Track Events: 10 a.m. (rolling schedule)
  • Teams Attending: Burns/Pine Bluffs, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Glenrock, Kelly Walsh, Lander, Laramie, Natrona County, Rawlins, Riverton, Torrington, Wheatland

Snake River Open

  • Location: Idaho State University, Pocatello, ID
  • Start Times:
    • Field Events: 9 a.m.
    • Track Events: 9:30 a.m.
  • Teams Attending: Evanston, Green River, Mountain View, Pinedale, Rock Springs, Star Valley
