The Wyoming State Museum is inviting families to celebrate creativity and Valentine’s Day at its “I Heart Art” Family Day event on Saturday, February 1, The Cheyenne Post reports.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., kids and adults alike can participate in a variety of engaging art activities designed to spark imagination and explore the museum’s collections. Admission is free, and families of all ages are welcome.

“I Heart Art” offers several interactive art stations that connect participants to history and creativity. Activities include learning about historic photography, making personalized Valentine’s cards, sketching still-life drawings from museum artifacts, contributing to a collaborative finger-painted mural, and designing sculptures using wikki stix and pipe cleaners.

The Cheyenne Animal Shelter will be on-site to host an educational art activity, while Wyoming State Parks will offer a “Plein Air Indoors” station where guests can use watercolors to paint landscapes. Additionally, kids can dance off their energy at the hourly “Wyoming Wiggles” dance parties at 11 a.m., 12 p.m., and 1 p.m.

Families can pre-register for the event at bit.ly/WSMfamilydays or by calling 307-630-2573. Attendees who register and participate will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a $40 meal for two at Texas Roadhouse.
