Nicc Crosby of Lovell and Will Gray of Pine Bluffs have been selected as the head coaches for the 52nd annual Wyoming Shrine Bowl all-star football game, WyoPreps reports.

The announcement was made last week by Executive Director Larry Yeradi. Crosby will lead the North Team, while Gray will guide the South Team. Both coaches were chosen based on nominations from their peers across the state.

Gray recently led the Pine Bluffs Hornets to victory in the Class 1A 9-Man state championship in Laramie last November. Crosby guided the Lovell Bulldogs to the Class 2A semifinals, earning recognition for his team’s strong season performance.

The coaches have now assembled their respective coaching staffs.

  • North Team (Crosby):
    • A. Jay Montanez (Lovell)
    • Tom Grogan (Natrona County)
    • Waleryan Wisniewski (Powell)
    • Jessee Wilson (Rocky Mountain)
    • Trent Aagard (Burlington)
  • South Team (Gray):
    • Nick Yelton (Pine Bluffs)
    • Kyle Jeffres (Laramie)
    • Drew Hodgs (Douglas)
    • Travis Romsa (Burns)
    • Zack Scott (Hanna-Elk Mountain)

Both coaching staffs will be responsible for selecting the players who will represent the North and South teams. The 52nd Wyoming Shrine Bowl is set for Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Natrona County High School in Casper.

In last year’s 51st edition, the North Team secured a commanding 45-7 victory over the South at Cheney Alumni Field. The North leads the all-time series with a record of 27-20-3.
