Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has joined Aston Villa on loan until the end of the 2024-25 season, both Premier League clubs announced, as per Al Jazeera.

The move follows a period where Rashford had not featured for Manchester United since mid-December.

Rashford, who came through Manchester United’s youth system, has scored 138 goals in 426 appearances for the club since 2016. He has won the Europa League, two FA Cups and two League Cups.

United manager Ruben Amorim had previously omitted Rashford from the squad due to concerns about his work rate.

Rashford has also scored 17 goals for England and has played in two World Cups and two European Championships for his country.

Villa have also signed Spanish fullback Andres Garcia from Levante and Dutch striker Donyell Malen from Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window.
