The Alpine Science Institute (ASI) at Central Wyoming College has announced the official opening of its new dedicated roadway, Central Wyoming College Way, County 10 reports.

This milestone, seven years in the making, offers enhanced access to ASI’s outdoor learning environment near Lander, Wyoming.

The new road is located about a quarter-mile closer to town than the previous entrance, leading directly to ASI’s parking lot. The institute’s updated address is 44 Central Wyoming College Way, Lander, Wyoming.

The collaborative project involved multiple stakeholders, including state lands officials, the Wyoming Department of Transportation, the City of Lander planning office, ASI’s neighbors, and CWC staff. Their combined efforts aimed to create a safer and more convenient entry point for students, faculty, and visitors.

Important Access Information

  • Parking:
The new roadway connects directly to the ASI parking area. Visitors without a CWC parking permit are encouraged to use the main lot and either walk or bike in.
  • Foot Traffic Only Beyond the River:
To protect the natural landscape of the ASI campus, vehicle access is restricted beyond the parking area.
