The Wyoming Cowgirl tennis team is headed to Ames, Iowa, for a Saturday matchup against the Iowa State Cyclones.

The contest is set to begin at 1 p.m. Mountain Time.

The Cowgirls enter the match fresh off their first victory of the season, a commanding 7-0 win over Metro State in their home opener last Friday. Wyoming dominated in singles play, winning every set, and secured the Doubles Point before clinching the match.

Elena Trencheva and Ruby Young each earned their second dual wins of the season, while Anastasiia Kochelaevkaia continued her impressive performance, notching her ninth overall victory since the fall slate.

Wyoming holds a narrow 3-2 advantage in its all-time series against Iowa State. The teams last met in 2018, when the Cowgirls secured a tight 4-3 victory in Laramie. Saturday’s match marks Wyoming’s first trip to Ames since 2017 and only the second in program history.
