A magnitude 3.0 earthquake struck a remote area in southwestern Wyoming near the border with northern Utah early Sunday morning.

The quake occurred at 7:39 a.m. approximately 1.2 miles north-northwest of Little America, a small community near Interstate 80. The earthquake’s depth was recorded at 1.2 miles below the surface.

Given the location’s remoteness, there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries. Earthquakes of this magnitude are generally considered minor and unlikely to cause significant structural impacts.

Seismic activity is not uncommon in this region, and authorities will continue to monitor for any aftershocks or related developments.
