Two Montana photographers have been honored in the Wyoming Game and Fish Department’s 2024 Wyoming Wildlife photo contest.

Evan Watts of Gardiner received the grand prize for his striking image titled “Somebody Doesn’t Want to Share,” which captures two gray wolves in an intense moment.

The competition, now in its 55th year, attracted more than 3,000 submissions from photographers showcasing Wyoming’s diverse landscapes and wildlife.

Another Montana photographer, Jake Mosher of Bozeman, earned third place in the scenic category for his entry, “Midnight Blue.”

“This year’s Wyoming Wildlife photo issue was phenomenal due to the vast number of high-quality images submitted by the public participants in our 2024 Annual Photo Contest,” said Patrick Owen, creative director of Wyoming Wildlife. “The judging panel is always forced to make tough decisions in selecting winners and honorable mentions.”
