Former Major League Baseball star Alex Rodriguez successfully made a half-court shot during halftime of Bucknell University’s basketball game against Army on Sunday, earning a Bucknell student $10,000, The Associated Press reports.

Rodriguez, a 14-time All-Star, was invited to take the shot during the game, which Bucknell won 84-53. The 49-year-old’s shot banked off the backboard and went through the hoop, prompting a celebration among the students.

Rodriguez was at Bucknell to speak about Jump Platforms, a company he co-founded with Bucknell graduates Jordy Leiser and Marc Lore. Leiser also serves as a trustee of the university.

Rodriguez had a successful baseball career, hitting 696 career home runs with the Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers, and New York Yankees.
