AARP Wyoming is inviting local nonprofits and government entities to apply for its Community Challenge grant program. The program aims to support a wide range of community projects across the state.

Since its inception in 2017, AARP has invested over $20 million into more than 1,700 projects nationwide. In Wyoming, past grant recipients include projects like pickleball courts in Wheatland, veteran transportation assistance, and a veterans memorial in Buffalo.

Tom Lacock, with AARP Wyoming, highlighted that past grants have ranged from $12,000 to $15,000, though the dollar amounts can vary based on the project’s needs. Eligible organizations such as 501c3s, c4s, and government entities are encouraged to apply. Other groups may also be considered on a case-by-case basis.

The application window is now open and will close on March 5. Interested applicants can find more information and apply through the provided link.
