The Wyoming Department of Corrections (WDOC) has announced the retirement of Paul Martin, Support Services Administrator, effective March 7, 2025, the Cheyenne Post reports.

Mr. Martin has dedicated ten years of service to the department, contributing significantly to its operations and mission.

In addition to his tenure with WDOC, Mr. Martin’s career in corrections has included roles in the private prison sector as well as with the Washington and Idaho Departments of Corrections. His experience and leadership have been instrumental in shaping correctional practices across multiple organizations.

As a valued member of WDOC’s executive team, Mr. Martin has demonstrated expertise and dedication throughout his career. His impact on the department’s operations and commitment to public safety have been widely recognized.

WDOC Director Daniel Shannon expressed appreciation for Mr. Martin’s contributions, stating:

“Mr. Martin’s knowledge has not only shaped the operations of our department, but it has also enhanced the safety and well-being of our community. His ability to adapt and excel across both public service and private sector roles has made him a true asset, and his departure leaves a void that will be deeply felt. Though his expertise will be greatly missed, we are excited for him as he embarks on this new chapter.”
