The award was presented during the recent Credit Union Day at the Capitol event, recognizing Rohrbacher’s dedication to advancing policies that benefit credit unions and their members.

The Credit Union Advocate of the Year award honors leaders who actively engage in state and federal advocacy efforts, working to improve regulations and policies that support credit unions and their communities. Rohrbacher expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating,

“Receiving the Wyoming Advocate of the Year Award is an honor. I work to make a difference in the lives of ACFCU members and Wyoming credit unions, and I hope these efforts make positive changes.”

Bobbie Frank, Vice President for Wyoming Legislative Advocacy at GoWest, praised Rohrbacher’s dedication, noting his leadership as Wyoming Governmental Affairs Committee Co-Chair and his consistent engagement since the committee’s formation in 2022.

“Brian has attended every meeting and has built strong relationships with legislators and local officials,” Frank said.

Jennifer Wagner, Executive Vice President and Chief Advocacy Officer for GoWest, commended Rohrbacher’s advocacy efforts, highlighting his travel to statewide events, his encouragement of colleagues to engage in advocacy, and his role in passing legislation that benefits credit unions across Wyoming.

“His dedication has translated into tangible action from day one,” Wagner said. “His hard work has paid off in developing tremendous relationships and supporting policies that benefit credit unions and their members.”

Rohrbacher has served as President & CEO of ACFCU since 2011. Established in 1964, Atlantic City Federal Credit Union originally served employees of the US Steel Corporation’s Atlantic City Ore Mine in Fremont County. Over the years, its membership has expanded, first to all Fremont County residents in 1999 and then to all Wyoming residents in 2021. Today, ACFCU serves over 12,000 members statewide.
