Rivalries between neighbors are nothing new, whether between individuals, cities, or even entire states.

For Wyoming and Colorado, the playful banter has been ongoing for years.

While Wyomingites often joke about “Greenies” (Colorado drivers) and their driving habits, Coloradans have their own quips about the Cowboy State. It’s all in good fun—much like the pranks once pulled on the hit MTV show Punk’d, which Ashton Kutcher hosted in the early 2000s. The show thrived on lighthearted mischief, often at the expense of celebrities who were, in most cases, friends of Kutcher. The humor was never meant to be malicious—just entertaining.

That same spirit of good-natured fun can be found in state rivalries. A recent social media post from the National Parks Guide account highlighted things to see in Colorado that AREN’T national parks. While it wasn’t necessarily meant as a dig at Wyoming, it sparked some lighthearted reactions from those who enjoy the back-and-forth between the two states.
