The first foal by Dennis’ Moment, a son of Tiznow, was born on March 3 at Jack Sims’ Ranch near Evanston, Wyoming, Blood Horse reports.

The colt, a Wyoming-accredited offspring, is the first out of the Flatter mare Half a Chance, a former Saratoga Race Course maiden special weight winner.

Dennis’ Moment, who now stands at Rodeo Ranch near Cheyenne, Wyoming, is a well-regarded stallion. He was bred in Kentucky by Tolo Thoroughbreds and purchased by Albaugh Family Racing for $400,000 at the 2018 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale. Throughout his racing career, Dennis’ Moment, trained by Dale Romans, compiled a 3-2-3 record in 14 starts, earning $302,962. He claimed victory in the 2019 Iroquois Stakes (G3) at Churchill Downs as a 2-year-old and later placed in the 2021 Mr. Prospector Stakes (G3).

Brought to Wyoming in 2024, Dennis’ Moment was acquired by CJ Thoroughbreds and Eugene Joyce to serve as an accredited stallion in the state, which offers lucrative breeder awards, partly thanks to historical horse racing in Wyoming. This move was part of a broader plan, as CJ Thoroughbreds and Joyce also own 11 Wyoming-accredited mares currently in foal to Dennis’ Moment. Additionally, the pair has five Wyoming-accredited 2-year-olds slated to race in the state under trainer Dru Hall’s guidance.

For the 2025 breeding season, Dennis’ Moment stands for $1,500, with live foal, stands, and nurses terms. Alternatively, lifetime breeding rights are available for $3,000.
