The 2025 Wyoming High School Indoor Track State Championships are set to take place this Friday and Saturday in Gillette, marking the 15th consecutive year the event has been held at the Campbell County Recreation Center Fieldhouse, WyoPreps reports.

Thirty-one teams from across the state will compete for titles in two classifications (3A and 4A), with the top performers in each event earning medals and the top four boys’ and girls’ teams in each class receiving trophies.

Last year’s championships saw three state records broken, all in Class 4A.

  • Taliah Morris (Cheyenne East) set new records in the 200-meter dash (25.11 seconds) and the long jump (19-6.50).
  • Cody High School’s boys’ team set a new 1600 Medley Relay record (3:37.11).

Additionally, 21 Class 3A records were set in 2024—12 in the girls’ division and nine in the boys’ division—indicating strong competition across the board.

This year’s championship will feature a nine-athlete final in the Triple Jump, Long Jump, and Shot Put, while eight competitors will advance in the 55-meter dash, 55-meter hurdles, and 200-meter races. The final heat will consist of the fastest qualifiers.
