Gasoline prices in Wyoming have dipped slightly over the past week, decreasing by an average of 0.7 cents per gallon, Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports.
As of today, the state’s average price for regular gasoline stands at $2.95 per gallon, according to GasBuddy.com’s survey of 494 stations across Wyoming.
Despite the minor weekly decline, Wyoming’s current gas prices remain 1.4 cents per gallon higher than they were a month ago. However, compared to this time last year, prices are down by 14.8 cents per gallon.
Gas prices across the state vary widely. On Sunday, the lowest recorded price in Wyoming was $2.39 per gallon, while the highest was $3.49 per gallon—a difference of $1.10 per gallon.
On a national level, average gas prices have also seen a slight drop, falling 0.6 cents per gallon in the past week to an average of $3.03 per gallon as of Monday. Nationally, gas prices are down 8.9 cents per gallon from a month ago and 36.7 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
The national average price of diesel has also decreased, dropping 2.1 cents per gallon over the past week. Diesel now averages $3.608 per gallon nationwide.
GasBuddy compiles its data from over 11 million weekly price reports covering more than 150,000 gas stations across the country. Wyoming’s gas prices remain below the national average.
