One of Wyoming’s most accomplished high school wrestlers, Liam Fox of Cheyenne East, is set to continue his wrestling career at Western Wyoming College in Rock Springs, WyoPreps reports.
Fox recently cemented his place among Wyoming’s wrestling elite by winning his fourth state championship at the 4A State Tournament in Casper. His latest victory came in the 157-pound division, where he secured the title with a fall over Braxten Crow of Sheridan.
His dominant senior season saw him finish with a 48-3 record, adding to an already impressive high school résumé:
Junior Year (150 pounds): Won the 4A state title with a 5-3 decision over Keegan Rager of Sheridan; finished 44-5.
Sophomore Year (145 pounds): Captured the state championship with a 7-5 victory over Joseph Naef of Star Valley; posted a 50-win season.
Freshman Year (132 pounds): Began his championship streak with a 7-1 win over Dakota Ledford of Laramie; ended the year 52-6.
Beyond the state level, Fox has competed in major national tournaments, further solidifying his reputation as one of Wyoming’s top wrestlers.
Fox now joins Western Wyoming College, a dominant force in NJCAA wrestling. The Mustangs have won two national championships in the past three years, making them one of the most successful junior college programs in the country.
