A tragic collision in southeast Laramie County on Saturday, March 22, has left a juvenile dead and their mother injured, according to the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office, KGAB AM 650 reports.

The accident occurred at approximately 10:27 a.m. at the intersection of County Road 154 and County Road 207, about five miles south of the Egbert exit.

According to Public Information Officer Brandon Warner, a southbound pickup truck collided with the passenger side of a westbound car carrying the juvenile and their mother.

  • The mother, who was driving, sustained injuries and was transported to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for treatment.

  • Sadly, the juvenile passenger did not survive the injuries sustained in the crash.

A Wyoming Highway Patrol crash reconstructionist was called to the scene to assist with the investigation and documentation of the incident.

Authorities do not believe impairment was a factor in the crash.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of everyone involved in this terrible tragedy,” Warner said in a statement.

The investigation into the circumstances of the crash remains ongoing.
