The 2025 Lander Jackalope Jump took place over the weekend, with participants once again braving the icy waters to support Special Olympics Wyoming, County 10 reports.
This year’s event, held under the motto “Freezin’ for a Reason,” saw nearly 20 jumpers take the plunge, raising a total of $4,085 for the cause.
The annual fundraiser brought together teams and individuals from across the community, all eager to show their support for Special Olympics athletes. Several participants received special recognition for their efforts:
Most Money Raised by a Group: Atlantic City Federal Credit Union (ACFCU)
Biggest Group: Community Entry Services (CES)
Most Money Raised by an Individual: Marty Brammer

Local businesses and organizations played a key role in making the event possible. The Lander Fire Department provided water for the jump, Palace Pharmacy hosted the event in their parking lot, and Lander Coffee Co. supplied warm coffee while also lending power for the event’s MC, County 10’s Vince Tropea.
The Jackalope Jump series continues this weekend with the Riverton Jump, giving community members another opportunity to support Special Olympics Wyoming.
