The March 2025 edition of the Cheyenne Economic Indicators report has been released by the State of Wyoming’s Economic Analysis Division, Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports.

Key highlights from the March report include:

  • The Cheyenne Economic Health Index (ChEHI) stood at 108.1 in January 2025. This is slightly lower than the index value of 108.6 reported in January 2024. Notably, the ChEHI has decreased year-over-year for six consecutive months.

  • Laramie County’s unemployment rate in January 2025 was 4.4%, which is an increase from the 3.7% unemployment rate recorded in January 2024.

  • The total number of non-farm payroll jobs in Laramie County reached 48,900 in January 2025, marking a 0.6% increase (300 more jobs) compared to the previous year. This represents the 25th consecutive month of year-over-year job growth.

  • The county collected $9.9 million in sales and use tax revenue in January 2025, a 6.1% increase (+$0.6 million) compared to January 2024.

  • The average home value in Laramie County rose by 3.3% in January 2025 compared to the same period last year.
