Wyoming State Parks (WSP) is inviting the public to provide feedback on its Shoshone District Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan, which aims to improve accessibility at park facilities and programs over the next decade, Buckrail reports.
As part of this effort, WSP will hold a virtual meeting on Thursday, April 3, at 6 p.m. (MDT) to discuss accessibility initiatives and gather input from community members, disability advocates, and other interested parties.
“Wyoming State Parks is committed to making our public spaces accessible for all residents and visitors,” said WSP Shoshone District Manager Kyle Bernis. “We are prepared to offer support and resources to ensure that individuals with disabilities can fully enjoy our parks.”
The Shoshone District includes:
Bear River State Park
Fort Bridger State Historic Site
Seminoe State Park
Sinks Canyon State Park
South Pass City State Historic Site
Community members can participate in the meeting via Zoom, with the link available at accessforall-wyoparks.com. Additionally, an online survey will be available for those who wish to provide further feedback.
WSP encourages all interested individuals to take part in shaping a more accessible future for Wyoming’s state parks.
