The Wyoming Arts Council and Wyoming Humanities are calling on local musicians and podcasters to contribute to the 2025 Summer Road Trip Playlist, Buckrail reports.

This annual playlist, hosted on Spotify, showcases Wyoming-based talent and is promoted at high-traffic tourism sites across the state, including State Parks, Historic Sites and Trails, museums, and festivals.

Applications are now open and can be submitted through the Wyoming Arts Council’s Submittable.com page. The deadline for submissions is April 30 at 11:59 p.m. Musicians and podcasters can submit up to two entries, and all tracks or episodes must be linked directly to Spotify.

“The Road Trip Playlist highlights the range of talent throughout the state,” said Kimberly Mittelstadt of the Wyoming Arts Council in a press release. “Not only is it an opportunity for bands to reach a new audience, but a great way for Wyomingites and visitors to listen to the wide array of music and stories coming from our state.”

Artists featured in the playlist will also receive additional exposure through the Wyoming Arts Council’s social media channels, while podcasters will gain promotion through Wyoming Humanities. The initiative welcomes independent musicians of all genres and producers of engaging, storytelling-driven podcasts.

This year, Wyoming Humanities continues its collaboration with the Wyoming Arts Council to ensure podcasts remain an integral part of the playlist.
