After nearly a week of searching, the family of Powell resident Clint White, 52, received heartbreaking news on Tuesday when he was found deceased, Cowboy State Daily reports.

Authorities have stated that no foul play is suspected, though the cause of death remains under investigation pending a coroner’s report.

White was last seen on the morning of March 26, captured on surveillance video leaving his home with a checkered blanket and a generator. Law enforcement, alongside community volunteers, worked tirelessly to locate him before the search came to a tragic end.

His sister, Charise Rose, expressed deep gratitude for the support and efforts from the Powell community.

“We are so grateful for all who reached out and were looking,” she said. “This is an amazing community and state. The police worked hard to help.”

Powell Police Chief Jim Rhea also acknowledged the dedication of volunteers and law enforcement agencies, particularly Park County Sheriff Darrell Steward and the Park County Search and Rescue team.

“They were critical in the location and did a fantastic job,” Rhea said.

The news of White’s passing was shared by family friend Greg Wise on the Missing People of Wyoming Facebook page.

“This is breaking so many hearts,” Wise wrote. “The family was deeply touched by the vast support and prayers during the last week.”

A funeral service for White will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Powell.

Wise encouraged continued support for White’s loved ones.

“Thank you for the caring and love you have given them,” he said. “Pray for their comfort as they go through the next days and weeks.”
