  • PublishedApril 12, 2025

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has predicted that US President Donald Trump is likely to reach tariff agreements with countries globally soon, suggesting that the long-term impact of the ongoing trade war may be less severe than feared, as per Bloomberg.

Speaking to state radio in an interview on Friday, Orban stated that the readjustment of US tariff rates could take “one or two months.” He believes that once agreements are in place, the current trade war will give way to what he termed a “tariff peace.”
