The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) has announced a short traffic hold near the Snake River Bridge on Wyoming State Highway 22, scheduled for the morning of Tuesday, April 15, to accommodate bridge construction work, LocalNews8 reports.
According to WYDOT, traffic will be stopped around 10 a.m. for approximately 5 to 10 minutes while crews move a loader and concrete truck into position to begin paving the new bridge deck. The agency is advising travelers to avoid the area during this time if possible or plan for minor delays and slower speeds following the closure.
The paving marks a key step in the broader construction project, with the goal of pouring the second half of the new bridge deck by the end of June. Additional work, including the application of an epoxy overlay, is expected to extend past the initial project timeline.
Officials noted that weather and other unforeseen factors could lead to last-minute changes. WYDOT has committed to providing ongoing updates to keep the public informed.
