The Wyoming Transportation Commission has approved $21.49 million in highway and infrastructure contracts for eight projects across the state, supporting a range of improvements from bridge rehabilitation to rumble strip installation, Construction Equipment Guide reports.
The contracts were awarded during the Commission’s regular meeting held on March 20, 2025, and are scheduled for completion by October 2025, with funding primarily sourced from federal and state dollars.
Most contracts were awarded to the lowest qualified bidders, a standard practice aimed at maximizing cost efficiency in public infrastructure projects.
Among the federally funded projects, the largest award—$3.59 million—went to Acme Concrete Paving Inc. of Washington. This project will address concrete slab replacement, crack sealing, paving, and signage across 3.5 miles of Interstate 80 between Granger and Green River in Sweetwater County, with work expected to be completed by October 31, 2025.
S & S Builders LLC, based in Gillette, Wyoming, secured a $3.25 million contract for bridge rehabilitation in Big Horn, Fremont, and Park counties. The scope includes structure repairs, asphalt paving, erosion control, and guardrail work, with completion anticipated by November 30, 2025.
In Albany County, Simon Contractors of Cheyenne won an $889,190 bid for turn lane upgrades at two highway sites along US Highway 287 and Wyoming Highway 130, with work set to finish by September 30, 2025.
S & L Industrial, based in Cowley, was awarded $807,466 for the installation of rumble strips and related paving at various statewide locations, with work scheduled to end by October 31, 2025.
Projects primarily funded by the state include two contracts awarded to Reiman Corp. of Cheyenne. The company received $4.82 million for bridge work across Lincoln, Sublette, and Teton counties, and nearly $2.1 million for slab repair and sidewalk enhancements in Laramie County. The bridge work is due by June 30, 2025, while the slab repair is expected to be completed by October 31, 2025.
Avail Valley Construction-WY LLC, headquartered in Afton, received a $2.81 million contract for a mill and overlay project covering 7.3 miles of Wyoming Highway 51 between Gillette and Moorcroft in Campbell County, also with an October 31 completion deadline.
Finally, Bituminous Paving Inc., based in Minnesota, was awarded a contract for chip sealing work across 54.1 miles in Albany, Carbon, and Laramie counties. That project is scheduled for completion by August 31, 2025.
These infrastructure projects are part of ongoing statewide efforts to maintain and enhance Wyoming’s transportation network, supporting both economic development and roadway safety.
