The Midland Roundtable has officially revealed the rosters for Montana’s all-star boys and girls basketball teams ahead of the annual summer series against Wyoming.
The announcement, made Thursday, highlights top graduating seniors from the Class of 2025 who will represent the Treasure State in the long-running interstate showdown.
The two-game series will tip off on Friday, June 13, at the Pronghorn Center in Gillette, Wyoming, and conclude Saturday, June 14, at Lockwood High School near Billings. The girls game is set for 5 p.m. each evening, followed by the boys contest at 7 p.m.
Now in its 49th year for boys and 28th for girls, the Midland Roundtable Montana-Wyoming All-Star Basketball Series is sponsored by Adrenaline Fundraising and Stockman Bank.
This year’s Montana squads are led by the state’s Gatorade Players of the Year: Reynolds Johnston of Missoula Loyola on the boys’ side, and Paige Lofing of Huntley Project for the girls. Johnston, a two-time Gatorade honoree, helped guide Loyola to three consecutive State B titles. He’s joined by teammate Ethan Stack and other top performers including Box Elder standout Tracen Jilot, whose team has posted a perfect 52-0 record over the last two seasons.
On the girls’ roster, Lofing, a Gonzaga signee, led her team to its first-ever state championship and closed her high school career with 2,490 points — the highest total for a Class B player and fourth all-time in Montana. Other top contributors include Shelbi LaBrie of three-time State C champion North Country and Coral Old Bull of Billings Central, who hit the title-clinching shot in this year’s state championship game.
Veteran coaches will again guide the Montana teams. Steve Keller, now coaching professionally with the Great Falls Electric, returns to lead the boys squad for the 12th year. He holds a 22-2 record in the series. On the girls’ side, Rocky Mountain College’s Wes Keller brings his 17-1 all-time record into his 10th year as head coach.
Though Wyoming swept the boys’ series last summer for the first time since 2011 — snapping Montana’s 22-game winning streak in the process — the Treasure State still holds a commanding 67-29 edge in the all-time series. The Montana girls, meanwhile, extended their win streak to 15 games last year and now lead the all-time series 41-13. Wyoming’s last victory in the girls’ series came in 2016.
In addition to the basketball games, fans will have the opportunity to meet this year’s basketball and volleyball all-stars at a public event on Friday, June 13, at 10:30 a.m. at the Billings Hotel and Convention Center. That evening, the Midland Roundtable Volleyball Classic will take place at Lockwood High School at 6 p.m.
