Castle Peak Holdings, the investment firm behind the Trailborn hospitality brand, has acquired Snow King Resort in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, marking its largest property purchase to date, Hotel Management reports.

The acquisition reflects the company’s ongoing strategy to grow its presence in outdoor-oriented travel destinations across the United States.

The Snow King Resort, a 203-room full-service property, is situated on eight acres and offers a variety of amenities, including indoor and outdoor spa facilities, a restaurant, and direct ski-in/ski-out mountain access during the winter. Located just a short walk from the town center of Jackson, the resort is positioned near popular attractions like Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks.

Castle Peak announced plans to renovate the property to enhance both guest amenities and infrastructure. Upgrades will include improvements to the building’s exterior, lobby, dining options, and meeting spaces, with the goal of delivering an elevated experience for travelers and locals alike.

“This acquisition represents Castle Peak’s commitment to investing in iconic outdoor destinations with strong visitor appeal and limited supply,” said Ben Weinberg, co-founder and co-CEO of Castle Peak Holdings and Trailborn. “Snow King aligns with our strategy of acquiring off-market properties and repositioning them under the Trailborn brand.”

Mike Weiss, also co-founder and co-CEO, emphasized the firm’s intent to work closely with the Jackson community during the redevelopment.

“Our goal is to create a welcoming space that reflects the area’s unique character while providing exceptional accommodations and services,” he said.

The Snow King acquisition brings Castle Peak’s portfolio to eight properties, joining recently opened Trailborn locations near the Grand Canyon, in the Outer Banks, and in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The expansion follows Trailborn’s 2024 long-term partnership agreement with Marriott International, which is expected to further broaden the brand’s reach and distribution capabilities.
