As the Wyoming high school spring golf season enters its final weeks, student-athletes across the state are preparing for a packed schedule of tournaments from April 28 to May 3, 2025, WyoPreps reports.

Week 5 of the season brings warmer weather and renewed opportunities for competitors to fine-tune their game before the season concludes.

The week began with a weather-related cancellation of the Devil’s Tower Spring Invite scheduled for April 28 at The Golf Club at Devil’s Tower. However, several other events remain on the calendar and are expected to draw teams from across the Cowboy State.

Thursday, May 1 features the Riverton Spring Invite at Riverton Country Club. The event includes a wide field of schools, with teams from Evanston, Jackson, Kelly Walsh, Kemmerer, Lander, Laramie, Lyman, Natrona County, Pinedale, Riverton, Rock Springs, and Wheatland scheduled to participate.

Friday, May 2 is a particularly active day with three tournaments taking place:

  • The Cody Spring Invite at Olive Glenn Golf Club welcomes teams from Arapahoe Charter, Buffalo, Cody, Lander, Lovell, Powell, Sheridan, Ten Sleep, Thermopolis, and Worland.

  • The Lusk Spring Invite at Niobrara Country Club brings together smaller schools from Big Horn, Hulett, Lusk, Moorcroft, Newcastle, Sundance, Tongue River, Upton, and Wright.

  • The Torrington Spring Invite at Cottonwood Country Club includes a large contingent from Campbell County, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Douglas, Glenrock, Kelly Walsh, Laramie, Natrona County, Rawlins, Thunder Basin, Torrington, and Wheatland.

Rounding out the week on Saturday, May 3, the Upton Spring Invite at Cedar Pines Golf Course will see teams from Big Horn, Hulett, Lusk, Moorcroft, Newcastle, Sundance, and host Upton compete.

Some of these tournaments have limits on the number of teams and participants, adding a layer of competitiveness to the events. With improved weather conditions, golfers are expected to find better consistency in their performances as the season nears its close.

Schedules are subject to change due to weather or other logistical factors.
