As the 2025 Wyoming high school soccer season nears its conclusion, both boys’ and girls’ teams across Class 3A and 4A are entering a pivotal stretch, WyoPreps reports.

With regional tournaments and postseason seedings on the line, each conference match from April 29 through May 3 carries added importance—especially for ranked teams.

Boys’ Soccer: Top Teams Battle in Final Weeks

In Class 4A boys’ soccer, top-ranked Jackson and second-ranked Kelly Walsh continued their dominance. Jackson overwhelmed Star Valley 15–0, while Kelly Walsh rolled over Natrona County 10–0 behind a hat trick from Pike. Third-ranked Sheridan also handled Campbell County 5–1, showing strong form as the postseason approaches.

Class 3A saw fewer marquee matchups, but one notable upset occurred when unranked Powell defeated second-ranked Lander 2–0, with Batt scoring both goals in the second half. Looking ahead, the highly anticipated No. 1 vs. No. 2 clash between Cody and Lander on Saturday, May 3, could have major playoff implications.

Other significant 3A games include Mountain View vs. Lyman, and Buffalo vs. Douglas, as teams jostle for conference position with just a few weeks left in the regular season.

Girls’ Soccer: Tight Races and Ranked Showdowns

The girls’ side featured three matchups between ranked opponents during the week, beginning with a closely contested 1–1 draw between top-ranked Kelly Walsh and fourth-ranked Natrona County. Despite playing down a player for most of the match, Natrona County held firm to earn the tie—the second draw between the Casper rivals this season.

Elsewhere, No. 2 Jackson cruised to a 10–0 victory over Star Valley, while No. 3 Sheridan scored four second-half goals to beat Campbell County 5–1. Fifth-ranked Laramie blanked Cheyenne South 6–0.

In Class 3A, No. 1 Powell defeated fourth-ranked Lander 4–0, thanks to a hat trick from I. Agee. Other important fixtures this week include a matchup between No. 4 Lander and No. 2 Cody, and another between No. 5 Worland and Torrington.
