Four standout athletes from Goshen County schools made their mark at the 2025 Wyoming Track Classic, held Friday, May 2, at Kelly Walsh High School, Torrington Telegram reports.

The prestigious meet brings together the top high school track and field athletes from across the state, regardless of classification, with participation based on qualifying marks.

Torrington High School junior Trishell Pontarolo took silver in the girls’ triple jump with a leap of 36 feet, 7 ¼ inches, placing her second overall in the elite field.

“I’m proud of Trishell – she proved she is one of the best triple jumpers in Wyoming on Friday against athletes from all classes,” said Torrington coach Russell Stienmetz.

Pontarolo also competed the following day at the Basin Nation meet on May 3, where she finished sixth in the 200-meter dash.

Two seniors from Lingle-Fort Laramie High School also earned podium finishes. Louden Bremer took third in the boys’ 300-meter hurdles, clocking in at 40.17 seconds. His teammate, Brody Roberts, placed third in the 800 meters, setting a personal record with a time of 1:57.28.

“The Classic is the premier high school track and field event in Wyoming as it allows the top athletes in the state to compete against each other,” said LFL coach Mike Lashley. “I am very proud of the way Louden and Brody represented Dogger track and field. They competed extremely well on a huge stage.”

Southeast High School sophomore Haylee Holthaus rounded out the Goshen County representation, placing sixth in the girls’ shot put with a mark of 38 feet, 2 ¼ inches.

“Haylee competed well and placed sixth overall against some very good competition,” said Southeast coach Jeff Fullmer.
