A Wyoming man is dead and another individual injured following a single-vehicle rollover crash early Saturday morning on Interstate 25 near Glenrock, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, County 17 reports.
The incident occurred around 1:09 a.m. near mile marker 153, just north of Glenrock. Authorities report that a Ford F-150 pickup truck pulling a trailer was traveling northbound when it began to drift left out of its travel lane. The driver reportedly overcorrected, sending the truck into a clockwise spin and causing it to slide on its passenger side toward the median.
As the vehicle entered the median, it tripped on its passenger side and began to roll. The rollover continued across the median into the southbound lane, where the truck came to rest on its roof. During the rollover, the trailer detached and also came to rest upside down after sliding further north.
John Conway, a 58-year-old Wyoming resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the Highway Patrol, Conway was a passenger and was not wearing a seat belt. Two others were also in the vehicle — one was injured, and the other was reportedly unharmed. Authorities have not yet confirmed which of the surviving individuals was driving at the time of the crash.
Driver fatigue was identified as the primary contributing factor in the accident. Investigators noted that road and weather conditions were clear and did not contribute to the incident.
The Wyoming Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
