Wyoming 4A High School Soccer Regionals Set to Kick Off in Thunder Basin and Green River

The 2025 Wyoming High School Activities Association 4A Regional Soccer Tournaments are set to begin this week, with boys’ and girls’ teams competing in East and West regional brackets for a spot in the state tournament, Sheridan Media reports.

This year’s East Regionals will be hosted by Thunder Basin High School, while the West Regionals will take place in Green River.

4A East Regionals – Thunder Basin

Boys Bracket

Cheyenne Central secured the #1 seed over Sheridan based on their head-to-head record (1-0-1), earning a first-round bye and automatic qualification for the state tournament.

Thursday, May 15 – First Round (Loser Out)

  • #2 Sheridan vs. #7 Cheyenne South – 1:00 PM

  • #3 Thunder Basin vs. #6 Cheyenne East – 5:00 PM

  • #4 Campbell County vs. #5 Laramie – 5:00 PM at Campbell County HS

Friday, May 16 – Semifinals

  • Sheridan/Cheyenne South winner vs. Thunder Basin/Cheyenne East winner – 1:00 PM

  • #1 Cheyenne Central vs. Campbell County/Laramie winner – 5:00 PM

Saturday, May 17

  • 3rd Place: Semifinal losers – Noon

  • Championship: Semifinal winners – 4:00 PM

Girls Bracket

Sheridan enters the tournament as the top seed and automatically advances to state. Thunder Basin claimed the #2 seed over Laramie (1-0-1 head-to-head).

  • 3rd Place: Semifinal losers – 10:00 AM

  • Championship: Semifinal winners – 2:00 PM

Kelly Walsh secured the #1 seed and advances directly to the semifinals. Natrona County earned the #4 seed over Green River via head-to-head results.

The top teams from each regional tournament will move on to the 4A State Soccer Championships.
