The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) has announced the promotion of Clint Brower to lead its maintenance crew in Lander, County 10 reports.
The announcement comes following the retirement of longtime foreman Matt Sanders, who concluded a 43-year career with the department on March 27.
Brower, 37, has worked as a heavy equipment operator on the Lander crew since 2023. He began his career with WYDOT in 2018 as a maintenance worker in Meeteetse and transferred to Lander in 2022.
A native of Butte, Montana, Brower currently lives on part of his grandparents’ ranch near Lander — a place he considers home despite having lived in Texas, Arizona, and Alberta, Canada.
“I have lived in Lander off and on my whole life,” Brower said.
Outside of work, Brower enjoys spending time outdoors with his daughter, Coy, who will turn six in July. The pair share a love for summer activities such as fishing, camping, and rodeo events. Coy has participated in kids’ rodeos for the past two years, competing in barrel racing, pole bending, and goat tail tying. Brower’s personal interests also include team roping and training roping horses.
WYDOT’s announcement highlights Brower’s experience and connection to the Lander community as he steps into his new leadership role within the department’s local maintenance operations.
