The 2025 Wyoming High School Soccer State Championships are set to take place from Thursday, May 22, through Saturday, May 24, in Gillette, WyoPreps reports.

Hosted across three local venues, the annual event brings together top high school teams from around the state to compete for titles in both Class 3A and Class 4A divisions.

Matches will be held at the Energy Capital Sports Complex, Campbell County High School, and Thunder Basin High School. All four championship matches will take place on Saturday at Thunder Basin High School.

Tournament Structure and Venues

  • Class 3A Matches: Played Thursday and Friday at the Energy Capital Sports Complex’s turf fields. The third-place game will take place Saturday at Campbell County High School, with consolation games held back at the Sports Complex.

  • Class 4A Matches: Hosted over three days across Campbell County High School, Thunder Basin High School, and the Sports Complex. The third-place matches and consolation finals will be split across the three venues, while Thunder Basin will host the championship games.

Defending Champions Enter the Field

This year’s tournament includes several returning champions:

  • In 3A, the Lander girls and Cody boys will aim to defend their titles.

  • In 4A, Kelly Walsh returns as the reigning girls’ champion, while the Jackson boys seek to repeat their success from last year.

Championship Weekend Schedule Highlights

Each classification has 11 matches spread across three days, beginning with quarterfinal games on Thursday. Semifinals follow on Friday, setting up Saturday’s schedule of finals, third-place contests, and consolation games.

Key matchups on Thursday, May 22 include:

  • 3A Girls: Powell vs. Rawlins and Cody vs. Buffalo

  • 4A Girls: Green River vs. Thunder Basin and Jackson vs. Campbell County

  • 3A Boys: Lander vs. Worland and Cody vs. Rawlins

  • 4A Boys: Kelly Walsh vs. Campbell County and Jackson vs. Thunder Basin

Semifinal rounds on Friday will determine which teams advance to Saturday’s championship matches, where four state titles will be decided.
