The Ford Wyoming Center is set to undergo a series of landscaping and accessibility improvements following the Casper City Council’s approval of a $352,250 construction contract this week, Oil City News reports.
The project will include the installation of a new concrete plaza, along with trees and other greenery, in an area near the facility’s main entrance where a grass hill was removed earlier this year. That space has remained undeveloped since the hill’s removal in early 2024, but work is now expected to move forward.
Additional landscaping enhancements are also planned for the northeast section of the property, aiming to improve both aesthetics and functionality for visitors.
As part of the upgrades, a new Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-accessible pathway will be constructed, providing improved access to the center’s VIP entrance. The enhancements are intended to make the venue more welcoming and inclusive for all guests.
The contract for the work was awarded to Double Drop Construction, and the project will be funded through Casper’s fifth-cent sales tax revenues. No specific timeline for completion was provided, but planning and site preparation are expected to begin soon.
