As Americans observe Memorial Day on Monday, May 26, 2025 — a national holiday honoring those who died while serving in the US military — many will also be making plans for gatherings, barbecues, and last-minute errands, USA Today reports.
While a number of retail and grocery stores will remain open to accommodate the holiday rush, some major chains, including Costco, will close their doors for the day.
