As summer approaches, many Wyoming teens are beginning their search for seasonal employment, Wyoming News Now reports.

To support them in this effort, the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services (DWS) is offering a range of resources aimed at helping young job seekers prepare for and secure summer positions.

Teens — and anyone else looking for work — can visit one of the department’s 18 workforce centers located throughout the state. At each center, individuals can meet with a workforce specialist who provides personalized assistance with job searches, resume building, mock interviews, and general career preparation.

“Specialists can help you learn how to make eye contact, how to greet your interviewer. It’s all those things that you don’t really think about when you’re first meeting somebody,” said Erin Turbitt with the Department of Workforce Services.

In addition to in-person services, the department encourages teens to take advantage of upcoming job fairs, which offer direct access to employers and job opportunities in various fields. For those interested in exploring potential career paths, the department also provides a virtual career exploration library, offering insights into different professions and industries.
